NASHVILLE, Tenn. Bishop Marcus Campbell runs the Church at Mt. Carmel, located on Monroe Street in North Nashville. Over the years, he and his wife, Stacy Marie Campbell, have helped countless young people by giving them a safe place to grow and learn. Most notable among these efforts is his organization Gentlemen and not Gangsters (GANG).

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On April 8, 2021, students from local institutions who participated in the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA) Interprofessional and Interinstitutional Education (IPE) Student Project gathered via Zoom for a recognition ceremony showcasing their efforts to improve the community through partnerships with nonprofit and community-based organizations and faculty mentors.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Officials from the Metro Public Health Department and the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management have announced details of what will currently be Nashville’s largest one-day Covid-19 vaccination event.  The event will take place from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on March 20th.  The drive-thru event will be located in Lots A-D of Nissan Stadium.  Eligible individuals can click here to register.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Meharry Medical College announced March 4th that it has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to establish a virtual simulation and telemedicine training program for medical students. The $20 million grant is part of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and is provided through federal CARES Act funding.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Christopher Smith, MS joins the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA) as a Community Engagement Program Manager, focusing on education and giving back to the community.
