NASHVILLE, Tenn. Community members met Friday, April 1,  at a Community Research Partners forum at the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance, where the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Saint Thomas Health and the Metro Public Health Department presented a health needs assessment of Davidson County, Tennessee.

In the Fall of 2015, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Saint Thomas Health and the Metro Nashville Health Department partnered to assess the health of Davison County residents and identify the gaps between current and desired health status. Alex Norton from Saint Thomas Health, Elisa Friedman, MS and J.W. Randolph from VUMC and Metro Public Health Department Community Development and Planning Director Tracy Buck shared primary and secondary health data and described the gaps identified by the assessment and prioritized by the community.
