An Intensivist’s Perspective.” Avinash Bhargava Kumar, MD, FCCP, FCCM is the featured speaker. The lecture will be held at the Kresge Learning Resource Center in Lecture Hall 1 from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m.
Kumar is Medical Director Neuroscience ICU and Associate Professor (Anesthesia and Critical Care) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Objectives
- Discuss the concept of Heart- Brain cross talk from an ICU perspective
- Discuss specific pathophysiological conditions that overlap care from the operating rooms, cardiovascular and Neuro ICU’s
- Discuss of the practicalities of management of cardiovascular compromise in the Neuro ICU
