Medical Grand Rounds resumes with 'The Critical Need for Men's Health Initiatives: Engaging Men and the Community'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. On Wednesday, March 23, Medical Grand Rounds -- presented by the Department of Internal Medicine -- will resume at Meharry Medical College with "The Critical Need for Men's Health Initiatives: Engaging Men and the Community." Kenneth A. Mitchell, MPAS, PA-C will be the featured speaker.

The lecture begins at 12:10 p.m. and will be held at the S. S. Kresge Learning Resource Center in Lecture Hall 1.

Mitchell is Program Director of Physician Assistant Sciences at the School of Graduate Studies and Research Campus.

Objectives

  • Discuss current Men’s Health disparities/inequalities
  • Explain relationship between Male Sexual Health and Cardio-Metabolic Syndrome
  • Explain the role of testosterone in Men’s health
  • Discuss controversies surrounding the treatment of hypogonadism
  • Discuss the professional education and practice initiatives for Men’s Health
